Hello! My name is Al Clifton (they/them) and I am a therapist and the new Coordinator for the Ample + RootED Community. With a firm foundation in political theory and social justice, I understand the systems that get us down. I’m not here to sell you a fix-it fairytale; I’m here to cultivate a compassionate and empowering space for you to explore and heal. Maybe you don’t feel safe being your authentic self, full-time. I want to create a space and relationship where it is safe for you to be your true self, even if just for an hour a week. There is power in being in touch with our wants and needs and speaking them out loud.
I want to help you feel at home in your body and at home in yourself. I’m a fat- positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, kink-knowledgeable, anti-diet therapist. I’ve got a passion for issues regarding sex and sexuality, and I’m here to help you kick ass and take names.
I’m empowered by community and dedicated to self-compassion. In my free time I like to cook, fuck up the patriarchy, do queer shit, and cuddle my two precious cats.
