Myles Marcotte is a queer and trans neurodivergent educator and clinical psychotherapist (associate clinical social worker) based in Long Beach, CA. He utilizes the frameworks of disability justice and fat liberation in his work as a therapist and has been involved in these communities for nearly 15 years. Myles has a background in Critical Studies of Race, Gender, and Sexuality at Mills College, as well as a Bachelors in Social Work from CSU Los Angeles and a Masters in Social Work from CSU Long Beach 2019. He has experience as a social worker and therapist in a variety of settings including schools, private practice, psychiatric in-patient care, and field-based community mental health. In his personal life, Myles is a DIY enthusiast who likes to build elaborate furniture for his two rescue cats, play in the ocean, and write music.
