Food can be more than nutritional sustenance. Food has the power of telling stories, connecting people, and being emotional sustenance. Our Community Circle this month transcends the mere act of eating and delves into the cultural, social, and personal narratives that surround food. From childhood memories, cultural preservation, to societal expectations, we examine how these narratives shape our relationship with food and, consequently, our relationship with our bodies.

Through a body liberation lens, we challenge conventional notions of "good" and "bad" foods, aiming to dismantle harmful stereotypes and embrace a more compassionate and inclusive approach to nourishment. We explore how reclaiming our stories around food can empower us to break free from restrictive norms and cultivate a deeper sense of acceptance and joy in our bodies.

Drawing from personal experiences, therapeutic insights, and societal observations, we invite you to join us on this journey of self-discovery and transformation, where food becomes not only sustenance for the body but also a powerful tool for rewriting the narratives of our lives in pursuit of liberation and wholeness.

We invite you to bring a recipe, memory, photo, etc. that you can share a story about and we will compile a "Recipe Book" to send out to our Community! If you are not able to join us live, please email your recipe and/or story if you would like it shared.
