Eating disorders do not just happen in a vacuum. While it's an outdated belief that parents/caregivers cause eating disorders in their children, our experiences in early childhood and in our families of origin absolutely contribute to our embodiment and ability to nourish ourselves.We'll share time exploring how themes of family dynamics show up in our individual sessions with clients, how to navigate family therapy in eating disorder treatment, and make space for our own family of origin wounds that can get activated as providers doing this work.
