SJ Thompson (they/them) is an eating disorder recovery coach, equity consultant and writer for Resilient Fat Goddex and currently a master of social work student at Portland State University. Their work strives to impact systemic change for more equity and inclusion within the eating disorder field as well as providing peer support for individuals and groups. SJ has consulted with IAEDP for Core Course 1, and spoken nationally on the misconceptions of eating disorders. They draw on their extensive experience as a fat, queer, trans and neurodivergent person with an eating disorder, disability advocacy, and as a former group therapist at The Eating Disorder Center of Portland.
