Stacy Godoy, LMFT

Stacy Rae Godoy (she/her) is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based out of Los Angeles. In the past 10 years, Stacy Rae has worked in various treatment settings, with majority of her career was working in a residential treatment facility. This experience laid the foundation of understanding the importance of community in the recovery process. However, wanting to break away from the gatekeeping nature of traditional treatment
centers, she created her private practice that focuses primarily on a community care model. This has allowed her to offer care that is traditionally only accessible to those who have the financial resources to attend formalized treatment. As a clinician of color (Mexicana/Latina/Chicana), Stacy Rae is focused on creating more
treatment accessibility in the eating disorder community for clients of color (BIPoC). Having an understanding of how her community is generally underrepresented,
underserved, and underdiagnosed, she uses her platform to help expand access and knowledge about these communities. She does this by highlighting the amazing work of the BIPOC community that surrounds her, and doing her own research on how to best serve her community. Outside of work, Stacy Rae enjoys taking dance classes, cooking new recipes through her low-waste practices, learning Spanish, caring for her plant babies, and going for a beach swim.
